Elioenai Children Hope Orphanage (ECHO)

Orphanage in Kampala, Uganda

Orphanage Director Eric Mugambe

Notice

This year (2022) Brother Mugambe was able to officially register the orphanage, but he had to change the name slightly from Ebenezer Children Hope Orphanage to Elioenai Children Hope Orphanage because the name Ebenezer was already taken. Elioenai means "Toward Him are mine eyes, or to Him are my fountains, or I look to God". These are the same children you have been supporting.

New Life Fellowship has had the honor of knowing a mighty man of God, Eric Mugambe. He is a member of our church family and he and the children regularly attend services via Facebook live, all the way from Uganda. He is the Director of Elioenai Children Hope Orphanage (ECHO) in Kampala, Uganda. Currently, the orphanage is home to 68 children and growing. We continue to pray for the daily struggles of the Orphanage and the surrounding community.

Recently, our church has been blessed to donate much needed funds to the orphanage and in turn Mugambe is able to feed, not only the children, but several starving elderly people in their village. Mugambe extends his thanks to all that have helped.

Although the adversity they face is great, God is greater and Mugambe never fails to share the gospel with the children and the village. Our donations may go a long way, but they only help temporarily. Sending items via mail is far too expensive and there are no guarantees that it will arrive. We have a direct link to the orphanage, and we can send them funds within minutes. If you would like to help out on a regular basis, give your donations to New Life Fellowship and we will give it to Mugambe as soon as possible. Give us a call at (254) 939-8011.

We praise God for this blessing. Mugambe and the children love to extend their thanks and gratitude to our church. Let us continue to help any way we can! We are attaching pictures showing their gratitude and a scripture they wanted to share with us:

Philippians 4:10-14 NLT

Paul’s Thanks for Their Gifts

10 How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to help me. 11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. 12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. 13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. 14 Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty.

ECHO Charity BBQ & Live Auction Benefit

Local church groups, Belton New Life Fellowship Church, and Believe Ministries Worship Center (https://www.believeministries.church) hosted a BBQ and Auction Benefit at the  Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 4008 to help buy farmland and build an orphanage for our sister church in Kampala, Uganda. Together with God, and the Texas Community, we raised around $12,000! $10,119 was raised through the Live Auction and the rest was raised through Raffles, 50/50, and food sales. All praise, honor, and glory be to God!

Floods in Kampala, Uganda

This is a common sight in Kampala during the raining season. Notice that this is just the city. Mugambe and the Orphanage are located in a remote village. It is usually a long walk through the mud to get to the bus that takes them to Kampala.

Christmas Celebration

Orphanage Director Eric Mugambe and the children of the Elioenai Children Hope Orphanage in Kampala, Uganda have celebrated their First Annual Christmas Celebration and Community Support Event.

The orphanage has been mightily blessed this year and they wanted to share God’s blessings with their hurting community.

Praise be to God for working through those who donated to the event!

“Praise the Lord!

Praise God in His sanctuary;

Praise Him in His mighty firmament!

Praise Him for His mighty acts;

Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;

Praise Him with the lute and harp!

Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;

Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!

Praise Him with loud cymbals;

Praise Him with clashing cymbals!

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord!”

Psalm 150:1-6 NKJV

Here is the video of the celebration. (The festivities start about 45 minutes into the video)
